Our Favorite Missionary.....

ELDER BAUGHAN
.....biggest news of the moment.  Our son, Zach (19) just left for a two-year mission for our church.  He reported to the MTC (missionary training center) in Provo, UT on November 2nd, where he will be studying the french language for 2 months before he leaves for Paris, France.  We miss him terribly....obviously this is bittersweet for our family.  For twenty four months we will need to communicate through letters and weekly emails instead of phone calls and text messages; he has put dating and his education on hold; he has set aside his athletic pursuits.   And to be perfectly honest....there isn't any other place I would rather him be, and nothing else I would rather him be doing....xoxo

Zach would love to hear from you!

Being in the temple with Zach and our family made for an amazing day.....One of the best days I've ever had as a mother.

Saying goodbye at the airport was so difficult..so bittersweet.  I just kept thinking about how wonderful it was going to be in two years when he comes home.....

Great seeing this beautiful moment captured in such a lovely way. Seeing Zach and the family together at the temple reminded me of what a special day it was. The love and true friendship we felt, the humor and laughs we enjoyed as family, and of course the feelings the Temple always brings, were priceless.

Zach will be a great missionary for the Lord! His sacrifice of the two years out of his life to serve the Lord and the people of France, will bless him and his family in wonderful ways. Bob and I look forward to writing him and hearing about his experiences in Paris. We love you Linda and Rob. Job well done with helping to raise a young man like Zach! Jett, Weston and Miller have a good example to follow.
Love you all,
